This is the second part to the songs about my uncle's passing. This one was written in the midst of grief. The thought of losing him, the thought of never hearing his voice, and the belief that hopefully he's in a better place but not being convinced.
lyrics
Oh, I wonder, yeah I wonder
What it's like up there
Yeah, I wonder, oh I wonder
When I'll stop hearing your voice echo through my head
It's been days, even weeks
My stomach turns and I begin to weep
I don't wanna eat, I can't even sleep
You're becoming a distant memory
Yeah, I wonder, oh I wonder
What it felt like in that lake
Yeah, I wonder, oh I wonder
When my stupid heart turns, will it just up and break?
It's been days, even weeks
My stomach turns and I begin to weep
I don't wanna eat, I can't even sleep
Until I see you again
I'll see you again
Oh, I'm gonna see you again
But, Jeff, sometimes it's hard to believe in heaven
